With NEASC approaching fast, Stoughton High School is looking for more and more ways to improve the education of their students. With this plan brings in MMSI, the Massachusetts Math and Science Initiative.

MMSI is a program that looks to help students pass AP classes, pass the exams with a 3 or better, and get students ready for college work. So far, the program has done an excellent job, and now this program has come to Stoughton High.

Today’s presentation, given by Morton Orlov II, gave students insight into study sessions for AP classes, and statistics on how students have and will improve with the MMSI grant. Orlov also talked about how schools that are given the MMSI grant see anywhere from a 50-105% increase in students getting a 3 or better.

With NEASC coming to evaluate the school, receiving the MMSI grant was the right move to improve academic excellence at Stoughton High.
